Fish & Pips are an independent travel company specialising in food led experiences. They’ve been addressing all aspects of their business to reduce their environmental impact, from advocating train travel, reducing food waste and engaging all staff in their green initiative.
We have always been conscious about keeping food waste to a minimum. We asked our chalet teams to split out their food waste, weighing and logging it on a weekly basis. We’ve been exploring ways of how to reduce their waste and track it throughout the course of the season. The chalet that reduces the waste the most (amongst other challenges) are awarded our environmental champion of the season!
Working with One Tree has been the kick start we needed at Fish & Pips to get our initiatives off the ground. Having talked for a long time about “what” we want to do, the pledge system provided a framework for us to apply to our business – they gave us the “how”.
