Dan Jones
We’re supporting Dan on his journey to remove ocean plastic. He’s doing this by raising sponsorship for every meter swam across the English Channel. With your help he can not only remove 2Kg of plastic per meter swam but, also provide a wage for those in need and place a value on plastic waste in the process!
Sounds simple? Well, maybe not that simple, as Dan still needs to learn how to swim.
Shelley Hill
Shelley has decided to take on a new charity challenge on the 5th June for Mind UK. This is in response to these strange times and how they are taking a toll on peoples mental health.
To raise awareness Shelley is hiking 100kms with 7054ms of elevation in just 24hrs. The route goes through our local home mountains and she’ll be joined along the way by friends.
On top of this she’ll be doing the hike waving the “Climb It For Climate’ banner to raise awareness for how climate change is effecting our mountain environments.
Albert Jones
Albert’s singles have been played on BBC Radio 2 by Dermot O’Leary, BBC 6 Music by Tom Robinson and across the BBC Introducing network.
This summer Al will be embarking on a tour of the Netherlands but, this time with a twist. Al and the band will be travelling exclusively by train to highlight the possibilities public transport provide.
