Full French Breakfast

Finding a better world & inspiring others

At heart Full French Breakfast is a group of buddies mobbing around the outdoors, tanning our teeth as we go. What’s cool is we get to share these pow snorkelling, slush slashing, dirt spewing, cloud 9 days together at full gas. Our lifestyle shows a way of living life at a different pace, some might call mountain country life a ‘slower pace’ than the city rat run, but riding hard, working hard (perhaps socialising hard) isn’t slow. As we like to say, it’s full gas straight down the middle.

Now, we want to share our adventures and stories with you. It’s strange because in many ways we’re nothing more than a group of buddies out here having fun, but in another way, we’ve noticed something more. Our world is changing and it is more evident in the mountains than anywhere else in the world. If we’re not careful the snow will disappear, the great outdoors will become the sh*t outdoors. Skiing and mountain life enables us to show a different way of life, a more sustainable responsible one, filled with laughter and smiles (and a couple of croissants along the way). A life that shows us how great the outdoors is and how easy it is to live your life as a positive part of the world. Living with nature, not in spite of it.

What is the most positive environmental impact that you have made?

As a collective when we looked at the environmental impact of our lives we were already ahead of the game in many areas. But nobody’s perfect and we’ve made some changes in the way we conduct our everyday lives. We’ve looked at our travel to and from the mountains, team members have used the train to get to resort, instead of flying, even if meant hauling ski bags through Paris, at rush hour. We are lucky enough to have amazing public transport options to use daily, you’re likely to see all of us on the busses around town. We’ve also taken up sustainable fishing practices, we’ve yet to come home with a catch which is important in protecting fish stocks. Our adventures are all about exploring the world around us, off the beaten track. As such we try to avoid using vehicles that can’t be powered by croissants. Bikes, skis, snowboards and legs that’s the future.

Which changes are you focused on delivering in the future?

The first thing we are doing is switching ski waxes. We’re going to find a solution to eco-ski wax. Once we find one we can ride with, that’s a problem solved, not just for us but the WHOLE ski industry instantly.

We’ve also contacted the lift system company to organise a meeting to investigate the impact of our lift usage. We want to understand our carbon footprint over the winter, reduce it and offset it.
