Master in Environmental Studies (MEnvtStud) & Private Chef

I have a Masters in Environmental Studies (MEnvtStud) from the Department of Earth Sciences, Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand). As an environmental  consultant, I have worked in, London, the Middle East and France. Specialising in sustainable construction and low carbon building design. Primarily through BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology) and LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) methodologies, assessments and audits.

Sustainable construction aims to reduce the environmental impacts of the construction industry and reducing our CO2 emissions through energy efficient design. After moving to the mountains, I put my experience into practice, renovating an old stone barn in an sustainable and energy efficient way.

I currently work as a private chef. But this does not mean I have given up on sustainability. Key to reducing our carbon footprint, is incorporating energy efficiency into everything that we do. At work, home and in our community, we need to look at ways we can use less resources, particularly energy and reduce our environmental impacts. One Tree at a Time, is a platform to do this within the Ski Industry.
