Our website will be on strike all day tomorrow as part of the Global #ClimateStrike on the 20th and 27th September.
Young people across the world have sparked global debate with their Fridays for Future school strikes, and ahead of the UN Emergency Climate Summit they’re asking for us to help them turn passion into action.
We are all aware of the effects that burning fossil fuels is having on our planet, yet so little seems to have been done to dramatically curb and ultimately eradicate their consumption. We need systemic change enacted by our governments and high powered corporations in order to move to 100% clean energy.
As more and more people’s lives are being adversely affected by the climate crisis, we need to ensure ‘a rapid energy revolution with equity, reparations and climate justice at its heart’.
So how do we do this? By disrupting ‘business as usual’. Behavioural change is not enough, we need accountability from those doing the most damage to see the greatest impact within the limited timeframe left for our planet.
As millions of people all over the world will be joining the school strikers to take to the streets to make their voices heard, we’ll be joining the Digital Strike to advocate for a better future.
