Tell us about your week in the jacket

This jacket came to me in a time of need, when the snow was falling and the turns were awaiting, my existing jacket’s zipper split. A moment of fate compiled with an awesome group who we have now skied with since. New friends sharing secret mountain lines with fresh snow is a peak aunty lore memory.

What do you think of the project?

IThe made to be worn project is inspiring and important, it has started in one of the most commercialised resorts in Europe giving us the unique opportunity to reflect on the outrageous levels of consumption our humbling sport is now responsible for. A reminder that clothing holds memories and endless stories, the moments, years, decades that a single item lives shows how they can stand the testament of time.

Has it made you think differently about clothing?

The clothing industry globally is environmentally destructive. We must take stock, before stepping through the revolving door of outlets and department stores. Moving into my duffle back to travel indefinitely has made me appreciate how little I really need to live. It’s a crippling reminder that we need to reconsider how we consume.
