Street Bag
Repurposing old tour operator uniforms into warm practical clothing for homeless people in our local region.
What is a Streetbag?
We’ve developed sleeping bag/coats (a street bag) by converting two ski trousers into a sleeping bag that attaches to a ski jacket, creating a waterproof, transportable garment for people living on the streets. The pockets are filled with ski socks and a beanie for extra warmth. Prototypes have been tested with Cantine Savoyarde Solidarité in Chambéry, and we have now made and delivered over 50 bags, also supporting the organisation with surplus food.
Functions
Warm and waterproof. We add extra insulation into the hoods of the jacket for warmth and sound insulation. The sleeping bag section rolls up and attaches to the jacket which makes for easy transportation and a warm cushion to sit on.
